"Clarification without limits"

WASTEWATER TREATMENT

FOR AN OPTIMAL CLARIFICATION PROCESS

The clarification process is essential for a wastewater treatment plant. Unlike the cycle process carried out by the filter press, clarification is a continuous process that separates water from suspended solid particles.

Matec can offer a complete range of clarification systems to suit every need. The range we offer ranges from static vertical systems, fixed-bridge horizontal systems and mobile-bridge horizontal systems, enabling us to cover all possible needs of our customers. Our clarification systems, in addition to the flocculation and sludge homogenisation systems, are designed to guarantee an optimal product for introduction into the filter press, a sludge of optimum density capable of giving us extraordinary results in terms of cycle time and residual moisture.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

HOW DO VERTICAL THICKENERS WORK?

Matec Vertical Thickeners are based on the principle of static decantation and natural precipitation of suspended solids; during the decantation process, solid particles settle to the bottom of the structure, while clean water overflows into the drainage system at the top and is discharged into a special tank or pit.

HOW DO RAKE THICKENERS WORK?

Rake Thickeners use the same decantation principle as vertical thickeners. The rake mechanism agitates the sludge with its rotary movement, pushing it to the bottom. The discharge is automatic and adjusted according to the rake’s effort to achieve the desired density.

HOW DOES THE DOSON SYSTEM WORK?

The Doson system regularly takes samples of sludge and analyses them in a closed chamber using electronic sensors, adjusts the dosage of the product according to the matter it contains and the settling speed at that particular point in the cycle. The water is always clarified in the best possible way, moreover, the system is able to reduce flocculant consumption by 30%, fully automatic, requiring no operator intervention.

WHY INSTALL THE DOSON SYSTEM?

Water is always clarified in the best possible way. This is essential when the properties of the sludge to be treated change over the course of days.

REDUCED CONSUMPTION
The Doson reduces flocculant consumption by 30%. It is fully automatic and requires no operator intervention.
